NTSA SUMMER CONFERENCE SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 11
NSTA Summer Conference is scheduled for Friday, June 11, 2021, at Kearney’s Holiday Inn.
Denny Coughlin of the School Bus Training Company will be bringing us a keynote address titled: “The Secret to Happiness, from the Luckiest Man Alive!” and will present two workshops for us: “Diversity and Conflict” and “Loading and Unloading Safety”.
Denny started out as a mechanic for Minneapolis Public Schools in 1978. In 1985 he took over the position of fleet manager. Mr. Coughlin was in charge of a fleet of 215 school buses and over 200 support vehicles. Denny has been presenting workshops at the National Association of Pupil Transportation conferences for many years.
Mr. Coughlin will be doing a workshop on loading and unloading zones for us. This is by far the place that students are the most vulnerable and where most high dollar lawsuits involving student fatalities stem from.
Dr. Brooke Envick, Business Professor at UNK will present a workshop titled: Practical and Proven Methods to Manage Workplace Stress
- Do you feel more stressed at work than ever? If so, you are not alone.
- The recent pandemic has significantly increased workplace stress.
This workshop will teach you how to assess your stress levels, identify sources of stress and determine how they affect you and your team, provide methods to resolve negative stress, and offer coping techniques to address the short and long-term effects of stress to promote work/life balance and overall well-being.
As always, we’ll have a great sit-down luncheon and an inspiring day!
