After a month of trying to coordinate dates with different presenters, I am pleased to let you know that Jennifer Bell with the FMCSA Nebraska Field Office has agreed to do a presentation on the new ELDT (Entry-Level Driver Training) standards for us on December 1 at 9:30am.

Jennifer Bell is State Program Manager for the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) Nebraska Division. Bell assists the Nebraska State Patrol and Department of Motor Vehicles with inspection and CDL programs. Her newest assignment is the Entry Level Driver Training Program. Bell previously served 27 years with the Iowa Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Enforcement where she worked as a road officer. She implemented new software to catalog the MVE evidence room, coordinated industry training and managed MVE federal programs and grants. Ms. Bell’s presentation with questions should take approximately an hour.

Following Jennifer’s presentation, I would like to spend time talking about thoughts and ideas as we implement this program. Please use the following link to review the rule (ELDT webpage):  https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/  There is also an interactive training providers guide that can be found here: https://tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov/content/Resources/Provider-Guide/story.html.
