Fall Conference November 23, 2019 – Kearney Holiday Inn

Erin Howard discussed the Nebraska Safety Center’s database, as well as the Department of Education Rule 91 requirements for small vehicle activity-only drivers.

John Mueller spoke on Valuing Employees by empowering and rewarding those doing the work.

Dr. Brooke Envick, from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, presented Efficient and Effective Management techniques using Ken Blanchard’s New One Minute Manager.
Richard Casey shared from his experience with Setting Clear Positive Expectations.

Anita Akers, an owner of FocusC3, shared perspectives on using Reality Therapy concepts to help employees make positive choices.

John Mueller and Matt Quiring reviewed registration requirements for the DOT National Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, which must be done by 1/6/2020, and, the Federal Training Provider Registry, which goes live 2/7/2020. Information on both can be found on the NSTA website.
